Arlington & Mansfield, Texas

Your idea matters. Let's build it properly.

Dossey's Studio builds custom software for small businesses — the applications, automations, and integrations that off-the-shelf tools never quite cover. One developer, working directly with you, start to finish.

Independent software studio owned and operated by Darrin Dossey. Serving small businesses across the Dallas–Fort Worth area, and remote clients nationwide.

Services

Software shaped around how you already work

Most small businesses don't need more software. They need the software they have to stop creating work. That's usually where I start.

Workflow Automation

The parts of your week that look identical every week shouldn't need a person. I map what your team actually does — not what the process document says — then automate the repetitive middle: data entry, handoffs, approvals, and the reports somebody rebuilds from scratch every month.

Custom Business Applications

When an off-the-shelf tool almost fits, the gap usually costs more than the software does — in workarounds, spreadsheets, and things people just remember to do. I build applications around your actual process, so the tool adapts to the business instead of the other way around.

System Integrations

Your accounting system, your scheduler, your point of sale, and three spreadsheets probably don't talk to each other, and somebody is the integration. I connect them so data moves on its own and you stop paying for the same information to be typed twice.

Products

How I Work

No surprises, no jargon, no disappearing

You work with the person writing the code. Every step, same phone number.

1

We talk about the problem, not the software

First conversation is free and there's nothing to prepare. I want to understand what's slow, what breaks, and what it costs you — before anybody talks about what to build.

2

You get a written scope and a fixed price

Before any work starts, you get a plain-English description of what will be built, what it will cost, and roughly how long it will take. If the answer is "you don't need custom software for this," I'll tell you that instead.

3

You see it while it's being built

Work goes out in pieces you can actually use and react to, so course corrections happen early and cheaply rather than at the end.

4

It keeps working after launch

Launch isn't the finish line. You get documentation, a real handover, and someone who answers the phone when something needs changing next year.

About

A small studio, on purpose

Direct

No account managers, no handoffs between a salesperson and a team you never meet. You talk to the developer, which means answers are accurate the first time.

Practical

I'd rather solve your problem with a small tool than sell you a big one. Plenty of engagements end with a two-week automation instead of a six-month build.

Local

Based in Arlington and working across Mansfield and the wider DFW area. If it helps to sit down in the same room and watch how the work actually happens, we can.

Got something that should be easier than it is?

Tell me what's slowing you down. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.

Contact

Let's talk

The first conversation is free and there's no obligation. Email is usually fastest, but you're welcome to call.

Typical response time is one business day.
